Blogging And Me

When I was first told to start blogging I felt like it was just another homework assignment. One that I would not enjoy, and it seemed to be just a waste of my time. Fortunately, for me, that is not the case so far. I do occasionally, get caught up in other assignments, but when I finally get to, its almost a comfort. Choosing what I get to blog about and stating my opinion on it really relieves stress. If I happen to be struggling in school that day I can blog about the stress teens go through in high school, any that's on my mind will do ,but I must blog in an articulate manner. I'm looking forward to more blogging in the future because this has really improved my vocabulary and the way I tackle writing prompts.

Leaving The Rest of The World Behind

Nowadays the world, well in some parts, is advancing very rapidly, with all of the high tech gadgets and gizmos daily life is almost lived for us. Every thing is simpler yet still very complex. We wake up to this technology that makes our life better and we fall asleep with it right beside us. Even now as you read this blog you probably have one right in your pocket, beside you, and even directly in front of you. Many of these gadgets are beneficial such as: a simple cell phone, which is a necessity for communication, our cars that we use for transportation, the internet, our global news paper and many others. On the other hand, many other high tech conveniences are simply unnecessary. Developed countries are steadily developing technologies that is honestly not needed, while developing countries struggle to produce the basic necessities needed to survive.
To be precise, Just yesterday I was on Youtube and I happened to watch a video that really got me thinking. The video was titled Futuristic Japanese Cars. When I watched the video I was astounded with the technology. One of the cars featured was a car that could turn 360ยบ, it included a talking robot that can read emotions and comfort the driver when needed. Do not get me wrong this advancement in Japanese technology is amazing, but what about the millions of Japanese citizens that battle with the endeavor of attaining food everyday. The ones not only in japan, but ones all around the world who are left behind. The ones that will never in a million years even dream of owning a car that costly. The ones that are left behind. The ones that, instead of saving hundreds of dollars for an expensive phone, they save cents to buy a sack of rice. The ones that work in farms for 12 hours a day with still no food on their own table. The ones that work for these large manufacturing companies, yet will never afford to buy the products they make.
The rest of the world should not be able to advance while the majority is Left Behind!

The Stress to Success

“You better go to Harvard !”, “Why is this C on your report card?”, “Finish your homework after you cook, I'm tired.”, “What you mean you got an essay? I have a customer you have to help me with.” So bantam of a word used to describe such an overwhelming burden; stress, the cause of minute insanity. This occurs when the pressure of life it self becomes unbearable, when mind control is as invisible as a child's imaginary friend, when love becomes unwanted and inferior, when sleep is a distant dream yet to be realized. What shall a soul so desperate do, quit? Yes, an option, that is not an option. Failure is the finer solution. It is not last place, merely third to last. It beats the visceral acts of cheating and quitting.
It is better to try and fail through the hands of your own, than win through hands of another, or not try at all!

And mrs.day please forgive my late blog for the 30th....I will post the latest due one soon :)

Respect Between A Teacher And Student

As a student I go to school Monday through Friday and before I leave the house the last and most important thing my mother says to me is "be good". A quote that I'm sure many of you have heard. When she says this to me she means be nice, do your work, and respect your teachers. As respectful students shouldn't we, in return receive the same respect from our teachers? yes of course, should be the answer, but in this case it's not. Recently I've personally been disrespected and seen other students be disrespected by teachers for no apparent reason expect because they hold the authority. A class room environment is not the place for a student to feel violated, disrespected or bullied; especially not by the teacher. Why should a student have to take a teacher making fun of their weight or having their grades reduced because the teacher believes the student is not capable of such intelligence? In my opinion, a teacher should not just expect respect from a student, they should first establish their role as the professional teacher and show respect, then in return the student should feel obligated to return the favor.

Childhood Obesity

Children are removed from their homes everyday by child protectiveservices. They are usually abused, neglected, and malnurished. But should children be removed from thier parents or guardians care if they are Over nurished? We all know that CPS is here to protect our children. So wouldn't removing an over weight child from a home doing justice to that child? In my opinion an over weight child is being neglected. The parent is not doing their duty of providing the child with proper nurishment. The child has the right to a safe and healthy life. Children die everyday due to health issues that are associated with their weight and health. We do not need an OVER WEIGHT AND UNHEALTHY AMERICA. With CPS doing their job of protecting our young nation we can worry about other things such as our economy and eduaction and not worry about such questions as: will my child die of heart diseas?

Should America's Future Have a Budget ?

I've recently read that America has wasted about $60 billion in the war against Iraq and Afghanistan. More than 10% of this money was lost to fraud. I personally think that this is ridiculous. If America can afford to waste billions of dollars on international affairs, why aren't we able to afford our future? Our youths' education should be at the top of Americas priority list. I understand that protecting The United States is immensely important, however the total well-being of our country lies within the people. Our schools shouldn't have to settle for irrelevant information in older school books while our country relentlessly waste $60 billion outside of our country. I've had many teachers tell me that we wouldn't be receiving text books this year because the school system simply couldn't afford them. Wow, never in my short life  have i ever thought that our economy would come to this. I strongly believe that the importance of education shouldn't be undermined or put on a budget.
